| I was doing a research on Globalization for my presentation, and I came across this passage in one of the websites: “… despite the rhetoric, many Asian countries are embracing the Internet at full speed, believing that it would bring useful ideas and information in today's competitive world. Malaysia is well known for its anti-Western rhetoric, but it is one of the most advanced countries in the region in terms of diffusion and utilization of the technology.” Does this mean we’re good in making pirated copies of DVDs? If it is so… then I’d say: ‘nicely expressed…’ |

er...wah.....why so critical.....let's look at it from the bright side....i am proud to say we Malaysians are very good with out ITs.....well...mostly better than the people in Aus i think...they all....obsolete lar
yeah, i'm very proud too! i'm not being negatively critical...
i find that australians are quite 'ulu' too, compared to some asian countries. and i am also glad msians are smart enuf to b advanced in stuff like that to cater for those who cant afford the real stuff, ifuknowwatimean, hehe...
i posted this cuz i didnt know that Malaysia is well known for its diffusion and utilization of technology. good to know that ppl dont think we live on trees with banana leaves as clothing anymore. (cuz a few years ago someone actually was surprise to know that there's internet connection in msia... n he didnt even know where msia was in the map, until i suggested s'pore...sad case)
same here... i met some aussies who go "where's malaysia?" and i've to say "do you know where's singapore?" and they go 'ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh'... >_< oh well! glad to be here in jez's blog again!
