jinx

argh!!!!! y..? y am i like this? i'm like jinxed! cursed! whenever i'm with techy stuff.... good thing i didnt choose computer science as a major. i'm like sooooo malang when it comes to computers, digicams, mp3s n even handphones! i got my new laptop-- yay! but its giving me problems--boo... i got tonnes of songs in my old desktop--yay! but i cant turn it on--boo... i would not wanna carry on the list, for i mite break down n cry... y is it like this? is there a cure for it? can i fix it? can i un-jinx myself? haih... i'm now trying to get online, n its not working. the built-in webcam is not working. i cant sign into msn. okok, here i go again....
*deep breath* calm down.... i'm trying not to blame myself for all but but i cant! it's all so obvious! its me! it must b. don't b surprised if u read the headlines one day : girl exploded infront of her own laptop due to over heat of her own veins.
i hope all these mishaps wont occur in aus. cuz my laptop's service centre is only in mainland m'sia. i think it must b something wrong with my protons, or electrons from my atoms or watever sort. everytime i come out from a car, i'll get electricuted by any metal i touch. n when i walk in a shopping mall, i'll 'sot' the person beside me if i ever touch him/her. this is bad, very bad. i even sot myself when i open my front gate (every single time) do i hv to live with this my whole life? i think i'm gonna spoil all my electrical appliances in the future. the company will rugi if the warranty is for 3 years.
well, i prayed over my laptop once i bought it back. guess the Lord wants me to appreciate it more when its here to serve me. i shall demand ntg more from it, n continue to love n care for my techy blessings that i hv. *peace out*

Happy birthday Jesus!!!

Christmas day: the day a very special person came all the way from heaven to earth as a gift from the most awesome God of all. till now, earthlings celebrate the birth of that special person, some bearing the spirit of joy n tidings, some bearing the spirit of economic prosperity. i wonder who came up with the idea of annual celebration n remembrance... who suggested the practice of reminiscing the day of something special... well, who ever that is, he/she did not make it clear that u gotta believe in wat u're celebrating for n make evrerytime count.
this year's christmas, was pretty calm... to me. ntg big, ntg mega. maybe its cuz i'm tied down on things that i'm not certain in. for the 1st time, i wasnt involved in any performances, any organising-of-parties, any crew of any event. jz a normal dude, in an exotic city with the usual christmas celebration. feels different. feels a little awkward. i'm no longer as excited about it as i used to. i'm not saying that i'm expecting Jesus to appear rite in front of me n show me his baby pix n stuff... i jz want the feeling of yuletide, as a family, a church. i began to c things that hv complicated my thoughts n made things not simple any more.
i jz wish i cud b merry n gay, like little children who can so easily enter the kingdom of God. but nope. time wont turn back. n so must'nt i. gotta look forward at the complicated future, yet still remain as innocent as little kids. not easy.
well, i jz came back from a family gathering, where we all come together to open up presents that we give each other. we do this everyyear in mama's hse, in front of the christmas tree, mostly with dai bak who flew all the way back from perth to b santa claus. this year, sei suk was santa (the one with the least hair, as dai bak needed a break). as usual, the santa will b super blur, n we'll rip off present wrappers (mostly makro magazines) together n keep smilling though we might not like the gifts. after that we'd sit around n talk about stuff. mostly funny stuff cuz by then, the adults would b half drunk. this time, i felt a little insulted. my uncle who was not a christian was sharing a joke which was pretty unrespectful of Christ. everyone laughed, n i was there so uselessly deep in thought, sitting there without a word in my head. i did not defend my faith. n i can consider that as loosing a battle. all can do is to blog about it n sleep over it tonite. am i still qulified to celebrate the coming of my King, n my Saviour?
i hope next year, the meaning of christmas would fill me up again. i'm looking 4ward to a brand new year with a brand new start. hoping for growth in boldness n spiritual strength. tirsting for enthusiasm in life.

take me home~ country road~

i'm now on a bus, heading home to kl. it feels weird typing on a moving vehicle, but i know i wont get to do this often, so wat the heck. i'm on this express bus that is the 3-seater type which is very spacious compared to the one i went up camerons with. it has a good extention thingy from the seat for ur legs, n seat-belts! for crying out loud... like the bus may take off anytime on the way. but i cant complain... we pay more, we get more. plus, the ticket was paid by my aunt, so, it's it a double-blessing.
it takes 1hr n a half to get down from the hill, n 4 hrs to get to town. wat a waste of time if i keep doing this often. i could watch 2 movies in 4 hours... or watch 10 pisodes of friends... or finish a book (that was wat i jz did)... i cud paint my nail, take a bath, go shopping in 5 hours...speaking of which, i missed out so many things after deciding to go camerons... missed king kong with shua n horny, missed lepaking with 5sc2 gang, missed getting my results from nilai n taking it to idp, missed 'guo dong' dinner in mama's hse (i was the only one absent last nite), etc. but i thank God for sending me up there for a while, i got to know more about myself, n help out in the bz kitchen. i also got to spend time with my cousins who i've not been hanging out with for 7 years ever since they went up there. i better count my blessings b4 i start to feel depressed.
i'm really excited about the party tonite. i thought i shud b the one organizing something like that since i'm the one who's leaving next year. but no. God sent angels to bless me with it. so i'm taking this opportunity to meet up with all 5sc1 ppl as a reunion-cum-christmas gathering-cum-farewell for jez. haha. i hope all of them get to go. ah gurl (wuei yunn) has so graciously offered out her hse for this party, n ck, as nice as always, offered to gau dim everything. so all i hv to do is to get myself there! n how am i gonna get there? i hvn't hv the slightest clue about it. but by hook or by crook, i'll get there.
well, the ride is starting to get bumpy now, n someone's 'fung yau' smell is making me drowsy... i shall end here,, saying 'bon voyage' to myself

once upon a time in camerons

situation: blur look, uncombed hair, tucked nicely under the thick covers, sniffing, glasses, dry throat, enthusiastic about wats gonna happen today. i'm now in my cousins' place up in the highlands of camerons. i left everything back in kl n came to jz hv a get-away. i love this life. all u do is sit around n c wat u can help out in the hse. once in a while my aunt will take us out for a treat in secret resipe. jz ydy alone, i woke up to the sound of my hp msg by angela who told me results r out, watched four shows, walked out to the market with grandparents, walked all the way to strawberry park n back with amanda, cut veges with kak afiyah, n cleaned chicken meat with popo (*ulk). well, ,it'll b boring to write about the whole day cuz there's so much more instored for me today. my cousin audrey complained that its boring living up here in camerons, but i think its a pretty healthy place to grow up. take diana(not sure if its spelt this way or not) for instants. she's the pastor's kid. comes to chefoo(the place where my aunt stays) to hang around. she's 2 n half yrs old n is able to grasp a whole lot of vocabs. she runs about in the field, falls down and laughs at herself. she pulled me to the playground n waits for me to carry her up to the swing. for a 2 yr old kid, she's mighty brave. i think if she grew up in kl, playing with the other kids, they'd hv a maid there to make sure they dun scratch their fingers or get a sun burn... 'tau fu's. most of them. almost all. n i grew up like that. crying for attention when i accidentally got a slight cut with my toy. hiah,.... sad...
situation now(that up there was this moning...): i'm sitting next to the indon maid who's watching korean soap dramas, n all 3 of my cousins plus their dad r on their own laptops, minding their own techy business.i had great day today. went for charoling practice with them though i wont b here for charoling, had lunch at secret recipe, helped out in the huge kitchen (my aunt manages chefoo for campers n there's this groups of korean ppl up here), watched a show, went cycling with joshua n mandy, then out to tanah rata for banana pancake (too bad i wasnt feeling too good then....must b the wheather), back for another show, then had 'tong yuin' cuz today is traditional chinese 'goh dung' day. oh ya, n we had mishballs!!! it's fish ball with meat inside...chun leh? dinner was jz those n some extremely spicy korean cup noodles (ah yee got it from the group). next, i dunno wat i'm gonna do... maybe post my blog, maybe they'd go out for supper as planned.
i'm having a super lot of fun, jz that i'm a little worried that i'm not gonna survive in adelaide during winter. i'm already shaking like some osim chair vibrator after baths, n sniffing all over.... how la how? everyday, the most important thing i'mm looking 4ward to is the hot cup of drink i drink b4 bed. well, my results r being faxed to uniSA n i'd get to know what course exactly i'm taking n when i'm leaving msia. at least in msia, u get to choose ur wheather.... winter in camerons, summer in pd, n spring at home... autumn...ermm, in ur computer screens...hehe
well, gotta go now. till next time. stay cool, not cold...

it was His voice all along...

when God calls.. he really calls. i had a bad time finding myself. trying to think of wats my calling n wat my future wud b. n i was so blind to b ignorant of the fact starring straight at me. it stared so hard, that it was so close to slapping me right on the cheek to get my attention. i was using the binoculus, but all i needed was my specs...
for the 4rth time, i signed myself up for HUGE camp. n i must say, this last one was different. n so was the other 3 times. without asking other questions (like he alwas does) dad jz said 'sure, u can go'. then in the process of signing up, i din't know i was joining the Oikos church. i thought it was under TMLC Youth all along...but TMLC Youth telah dibatalkan starting 1st nov, n i was still about it.... anyways, i jz went, surrendering EVERYTHING to God, thinking that my best friend would b packing his bag, leaving for China on the same day; n jz going with my other best friend who knows as much as i did that time.
when i arrived at the hotel, i saw packs of unfamilliar faces, n then sank with relief when i saw joshua with his usual grin n yih hon, introducing himself as his substitute, daniel. pei wern, pei yi, jess n her bro was there. other than mike, david, n jessy, the others were pure strangers. i was whisked off to the room, then roamed around the place. though i felt cheated, i was jz so glad horny made it. n though the place was flooded with uncountable flies, i knew i'd hv great memories there.
the days went off so fast. we visited jonker street in broad daylight, ate cendol n ice kacang, joked around in the fortress of A' famosa, gazed at some tunku's pix, n had a blast during the nite concert on the 1st night. horny did something to my finger that i think he's never gonna forget, n the girls (py, pw, jess, jessy, n i) chatted till our eyelids were heavier than our thighs(about 3 am).
i got to know the rest of the oikos gang soon, when shua started to play his 'who burnt the house down, n how many horses?' games. then we ventured on as a group to other planned games: the leap of faith, the other sloppy walk, n the blow-dart thingy. was fun. then we took a family pic near the pool, when karl suddenly came n carried me off the place where i was sitting. i thought he was going to throw me into the pool, so i was ready to jump off his huge n strong arms (so no one gets hurt) but mana tau... he jumped down with me still in his arms. for a moment, i was flyingin mid air with a giant. we joked so hard in the pool when shua came down as well, that i do not doubt someone actually ter-pee in their floating pants. the pool was full of saliva, hair gel, n wat not deodarants from underarms...
n here comes the serious part. though the others mite not b, n my outer body wasnt... but my soul, spirit n mind was. God was speaking to me, so loud! as though i jz cleaned my ears after it was jammed up for twenty years... when the speaker, ps chad jacobson encouraged all the young ppl to grow as a youth group, my mind kept yelling back 'i dont hv a youth group!' then when he said to honour ur youth leaders, n i wud fight back 'i dont hv no leader!' n i got frustrated... then when he almoost ended, he said 'if u do not hv a youth group... start one. no leader? be one...' n i was "whapak!!!" being slapped my my own consciesness. b4 the camp, my mom had wanted me to re-live the youth in TMLC, even aunty siew lay said she'd help. but all i did was reject n gave excuses. i didnt trust my own ability.
n so i cried. cried my heart out. like a hungry baby in a body on an 18-year-old. i was hungry for a confirmation. scared of the struggle. lost for excuses. fear of failure. crying out for the will to answer my call. that nite, i was very uncertain. i was doubting myself n everything else. but then i kept thinking about the other young ppl in taman midah who r still lost. who still doesnt know that they have a saviour but hv not recieved him yet. to tell the truth, i was jz scared. thats all.
the final day came, n i was expecting something. something impactful. i was blessed during the 1st huge camp went i walked pass that prayer tunnel. so i told my self, i must get that too this year. the feeling is undiscribable. its personal, n subjective. the queue was long. imagine, 900 young ppl walking through 2 tunnels of blessing. one by one, being touched by the hands of God. but i already felt it b4 entering th tunnel. at 1st i felt unworthy of his touch. but soon, it all came to place. he made me, thus, he knows me more than i know myself. n i surrendered.
then when it was time, we left the place. i dunno bout the others but i left the hotel with more expectations than ever. i wanted to see wat is going to b ahead of me. though the camp ended, but my calling jz begun. now, i'm going to SNATCH. thats the theme of the camp. snatch. i'll make my way thru, n get things done b4 i dont hv time. i'm going to do something for the remaining youth in TMLC b4 i set off to aus. i know i'm going to make it, because He is with me. for i can do all things through Christ who strentghens me. i love my life

U jz wont believe what happened to me today. A lot of unexpected things jz kept occurring one after another.
I got a call last nite from a long lost friend. N I suggested we meet up, then she said “how bout tmr?” n I had to echo an “OK!” without thinking… well, I basically dun mind meeting up with jen (my form one class mate), jz that I’ve been out for almost everyday n I’ve no more cash to spend out there…
Anywayz, I went out with her today n ….I dunno y…I dragged Terrence along. I’ve not personally hung out with this guy b4. was in the same tuition class with him, then got his online contact. He said he wanted to get out from his home so I asked him to join also la… long story… so when I introduced jen to Terrence, turned out that they took the same course in college, jz from different intakes. N there I was worrying that they wont get along.
So we had lunch at mcDs (starting to get sick of the food there). After chatting for some time, I noticed that I’m a totally different person compared to the both of them. They claim that it’s the kampong life in nilai that turned me into some weird alien like me. I doubt it… I think its more of who I mix with, the people around me that shapes who I really am. We chatted for a while more n they decided to go for a round of pool. I must say that that’s the 2nd last place I’d be in when I’m in mid valley. (the 1st wud b the medical centre) so blindly I said ‘alright’ n went along with them to the smoky place above the line of people in queue for movie tix.
I confessed that pool is not my type of game, so I’ll watch. Terrence insisted that I played… n turned out that I wasn’t lying. Soon, jen had to leave so I thought “wat the heck… since I’m here, I’ll give it more shots” n challenge Terrence. After all the bye byes, I played with lady luck on my side. I managed to beat him, n we left the smoky, n by that time, freezing place.
Met up with shua after leaving the freezer, n introduced terrence to shua. Turned out that both of them had a thing for guitars n started talking about it with me oh-so-cluelessly standing beside them. But I was cool bout it, at least they had something in common. Made me realize that if u had something in common, it’d b so easy to strike a conversation , n not as hard as wat I faced earlier on (jen does not watch tv, does not play sports, does not remember who was who in class back then, n lives a totally different life as I’m in now)
Well, I am who I am, n I love it. I love my life rite now, jz staying at home, helping mom out in her so called ‘spring cleaning’, calling up old friends jz to meet up n survive on a deficit basis, going out with my aunt n listening to her babble about health n Korean soap dramas, planning with dad regarding my visas n air tix to aus…. It’s not bad. I love it.

it was were it all began...

I’ve so many things in my mind rite now, n dunno where to start. I guess this is a pretty clichéd way to start blogs these days eh? But no choice, that really wat I’m facing rite now.
Ok, to start with, I wanna share about something very special to me—the birth of my new companion—my brand new laptop! A.k.a my husband (technically I’m married to a new born machine, haha)
The plan was this: persuade my dad that having a laptop is really essential for uni life (which wasn’t hard cuz I think he knows it from the start), get my but to pc fair on the 1st day, get infos about good laptops (went with shua who was of very very good help that day- thx shua!) come back with a few options, then buy it on the last day of fair.
The plan worked, n I’m now happily caressing my husband until my fingers n eyes go soar! I think he likes it, haha… ok, I’m getting overboard now.
i'm jz happy that this new toy i have now temporarily saved my life from my old com which btw, omits weird sounds when i turn it on n never can work anymore... so, i'm jz plainly happy.
I’ll blog about the experience there another time, feel like giving my hubby some rest.

skool-time journal found

As I was ‘packing’ my room today, I found this dusty journal by the edge of my cupboard, being wedged between files n more files. “Chan Yee Ai, Jezamine; Journal; 4sc1” was written in bold on the front page.
I never knew I could write back then! Haha, seriously. This was an ‘official’ journal that we had to hand in every week to Pn. Ng, n it was always a bane for us when we also had other skool work to chew on. Anywayz, I read my work, n saw a few “Good” as remarks from my English teacher, heehee. The 1st was about my new year’s resolution, next was about Chinese new year celebrations (pssst... notice how many weeks I skipped =þ)
I particularly liked this one with the title “if only I could…”. I wrote that if only I could hv the ability to read minds. To know when or when not to do something…. And I also said how nice it’ll b if I could know wat other think about me, n to know wat I wanna know n to know who heidi’s crush is… (yeap, that was wat I wrote) hahaha, imagine how ‘bat’ I was…
There were more cool stuff that I jz cant believe I actually wrote n handed it in to Pn. Ng. I think I’ll slip this journal back where I found it, wedged between files n more files. Until maybe 30 years from now I’d read it again, n I’ll see wat kind of a girl I was when I was in 4sc1.

no frisbee..... =(

Yes…yes… y din blog for so long mah… cuz exams lo. Now that I’m close to taking my clothes out from closet, refolding it n placing it back nicely again, jz to kill time, I suddenly remembered I had better things to do than that (actually was reminded of blogging by tim’s blog, heehee)
Anywayz, I was jz sitting here selamba on my desk, going thru this cool site www.jumbotak.com to wait for the clock to strike 6 then I’ll dash out for Frisbee… until… the culprit of all outdoor activities fell from the open sky ….RAIN!!!! of all things… haih… so, I shall try to express wat was in my mind for the past few days that I did not blog about.
Well, basically I went thru some pretty hard times getting myself to really study hard for my finals. Like picking up the book n reading it for the 3rd time, n doing some exercises… but the attempts were never successful. All I did was browse thru my own notes that I made when I was in class or during my revision for the past few semesters. Thank God the questions were not that bad. Some were the killer, but I managed to pull myself thru n get to the other side where the grass is greener n the skies bluer, heehee. Now I’m half way there….well, almost there. One more last bird to kill…accounts. Accounts is jz not my thing. I mean, no offence but cant they jz do business in a simpler way…?! Anywayz, I’ve no regrets taking accounts as one of my 5 subs. Made me realize that I’ll leave the counting of taxes n bills to my future husband, nyek…
Ok, enuf about studies. N more of other stuff…. Like… like… theres jz so many things…! Well, I went for planet shakers’ concert last Friday jz after my law paper. Was so cool, looking at the kids of the lead singer worship God in such a genuine way. No showing off, no “hey! Look at me! I’m on stage n u’re not! Nyeh nyeh..”, everyone was jz worshiping the awesome dude up there from where they’re standing. The crew, the band, the PA ppl, n the young ppl from all over asia. Then after the concert, I met up with my long lost (fake) cousin, timo!! Had supper then back to shua’s hse. We wanted to watch ‘into the blue’ but couldn’t hear wat they were saying but cud only see the super hot Jessica kissing her not-so-hot bf. Anyways, the 3 of us fell asleep on the really comfortable mattress n sofa(I sleep-walked to the bed later that nite), n woke up really late the next morning. It was cool having to stay over at shua’s place. Chatting with his granma in the morning with my really blur mind. Good thing horny knew wat to say to the wise lady(cuz he got up earliest)
Ok, I think I’ll blog more next time. it’s raining really heavily now, n I dowana kill horny’s wife(his laptop) using it cuz my husband(my com) is currently very very ill(according to my cuz bro, aka the family com doc)
Till next time. *peace out*

I was wrong

I was wrong…. I shouldn’t hv expected things to be that bad. With a God so great n mighty, I shouldn’t even b experiencing the slightest bit of boredom. And by complaining, I hv given in to my weaker self… which is bad. I said it myself, “complaint is the language of the weak” n I shall not b weak, especially during the hard times.
I thought I would b a depressed gurl for the entire week cuz most of my friends are back in their home town, n I’ll b here alone with books n pass year questions. Well, it surely makes my life easier that I still hv some friends here that’ll keep me company. Last nite, I thought I’d b stuck in my room with dinner in a CFC box, without F.R.I.E.N.D.S. for entertainment. But guess what… God sent me 3 huge sized angels! Who took me for dinner at AK(out of grounds of inti coll) made me laugh n loosen up, then took me out again to this all-time famous wan ton mee shop which opens at 1am. Oh ya, they also took me to grand union, aka garden mart, aka the only big retail store that looks like any supermarket in kl. Alwyn, Ken, and Sunny came to pick me up, n I ate nasi pataya over some pure lame jokes. Din know sunny cud b so lame as well, hehe. Had a look see at garden mart, then went back to study some law, then went out again with the 3 big guys for the ultimate supper! The shop / road side stall was quite rundown, but the food was good n the place was so… homey. I learnt a lot from their conversation last nite. Though it was in hakka, but I managed to catch some good stuff about being a responsible Christian. Came back at 3, n woke up at 9 this morning. So wat say u? God is awesome rite? I underestimated his power of providing for his children. So I was wrong.

decisions, decisions, decisions...

Decisions are stuff that I always try to avoid, but it never stops hovering over me. So I’ve no choice but to get used to it, especially living away from home, staying in campus… deciding on wat to eat can simply give u a spontaneous headache. I can see heads of campus ppl nodding their heads now.
Last week, I made a decision—to go home n not rot in my hostel room alone (since grace-my roomie was leaving for her hometown d). I also decided that I’ll b studying at home; no shopping, no yam cha, no calling up old friends. But, sometimes I jz can’t live up to my decisions/expectations =þ
I went home n was embraced by my sis’ hug, popo’s good soup, n seas of temptations. I watched 3 movies in a day, ate tom yam mee with super chun dumplings, played ‘boggles’ with sis, n cleaned my mp3 headset with toner (doesn’t work). However, however… I managed to revise 5 chapters of law, n did 2 pass-year papers of maths! So… was my decision practically jz mou dak deng or what? Well, I wont jz get all contented with my little accomplishment. I’ll b living like a freak for the next few weeks, sleeping eating studying eating studying sleeping…. So I won’t b blogging so often. Wish me luck n strength. There’s a war for me to fight! *operation C.W.A.L.!!!*

not mythical, but friends in reality

Trials went pass jz like that *snap* n now I’m in the rush of getting through the real thing n have the time of my life after that!!!! Actually…I’m ALREADY having the time of my life. After the week of life-less studying, eating, sleeping, n trying to wake up on time every morning, I made it a point to go hang out with my best buds. I dunno y, but every time I’m with them… ntg can stop us from being lame n ‘duh’. It’s part of life. I’ve grown to enjoy every bit of it.
Well, we watched the myth by jacky chan. Was cool how they fought on the rat poison n how jack’s house was in a ship! So cool man. Ate KFC for lunch. Speaking of which, there’s this chicken selling restaurant in taman desa called KLG! So zha dou… anywayz, after that, we ‘tried’ to buy horny a shirt, but ended up letting him buy a foot ball for himself, and also getting a puma water bottle from me. Shua n I keep buying stuff for each other so that whenever we use that thing, it’ll remind us of each other, hahah, that’s wat u do with friends, yeah?
Well, headed back to nilai after failing in buying a formal high heeled pointy black shoe for myself… with a satisfied spirit. I cant thank God more for blessing me with two awesome friends n a little weekend’s break from studies. Back to study mode now. Pls pray for me… hope I’ll make it thru this time. Peace out~

We saw, we conquered, we left

The Malaysian Parliament—somewhere so dull yet so interesting at the same time. I went there last Wednesday, with the law students. Started off pretty early, but as usual, the bus was late. Reached there at about 9 plus. I wanted to sleep in the bus (cuz I practically din sleep the nite b4- internet explorer was down n I had to finish my econs ass, so I waited blankly all nite for it, but failed) anyhow, when we got there, we were told that girls with short sleeve shirts(not sleeveless) or skirts slightly higher than knee length n guys without ties were not allowed in the parliament building. Good thing I wore pants n long sleeve shirt… so when they were done filtering us, I was the only SAM jan intake student in there. The whole situation was weird. Everyone keep saying the word “weird”, though it’s not totally weird, but its jz the closest word to the situation. Poor liz was left outside with sharon n praga. About 8 girls n a guy was left to wait for us while we were being scanned from head to toe b4 going up to the 2nd level. All camera phones n cameras were kept at one place, while hand bags had to b kept in the lockers. We were like little army ppl who had no say at all, being ordered around the place. N I tot this was a democratic country… well, we had to line up, girls one side, guys another. Then keep really quiet, listen to this huge man tell us about the rules n regulations b4 we entered the house of assembly (dewan rakyat). “no sleeping, no talking, no eating, no smoking, no big movements, no giving suggestions/ agreeing/ disagreeing with the parliament, jz follow”. In short, be like a zombie.
Finally, the fun part came. We walked in the gigantic hall in lines, n were seated rite at the opposite side of the speaker. On our left up front were the government workers n the MPs, on our left were the VIPs n the opposition. The hall had a high pointy ceiling with chun pillars, and the walls were designed with silver linings—very techy. Above the speaker’s seat were 13 pointy stuff, I think symbolizes the 13 states, n the whole setting was like a grand church. Four LCD screens were on the walls above the MPs n oppositions on both sides (so that’s where our tax goes to). Basically, most of the oppositions were present, and the MPs’ seats were half empty. When it was 10, the dude in white uniform brought in the watver thing which symbolizes authority, n the speaker came in with the other MPs n Oppositions. A bell was rung for like 3 mins! Then we had to bow, n wait for them to do their prayers. I wont wanna blog about the whole proceeding cuz it’ll b too boring, n also cuz I fell asleep on the very comfortable leather chair. Yan yan, my classmate kept nudging me cuz the guy said no sleeping… but the whole proceeding was so worthless! They talked about durians being turn into ‘sos chili durian’, Pakistani girls coming to kelantan, luring all the men there, n about some land thing… they changed topic so fast I dint even notice it… the only fun part was looking at fully grown men n women fight… childishly. They were literally screaming off their chairs, without even giving respect to the one speaking. The Chinese spoke in pasar BM, n the malay spoke in deep BM with ‘slang’. One of them was picking his nose, some were sleeping with elbow on the ‘akta-akta’ papers on the table. Some were extremely late, n one was looking at us in a ‘yam zin way’… haiz.. so I slept la. Not my fault.
At about 11.15am, we had to leave the meeting, so we got up, bowed, n left….so quietly, I think the MP who was sleeping din even notice. N guess wat… jz at that time, they were bringing up the AP issue! Cis, so gan jeong but we had to go. Anyways, I tot that was the end of the show, but no! The nice guy who was with us in the house of assembly said he’ll sneak us in the house of senate! Woohoo! No meetings were on, so the hall was so cold n eerie. It was a lot smaller compared to the hall b4, but this one looked chunkier, with all the thick black leather seats for the MPs n stuff. It had the rich malay feel, with thick red carpets n artistic malayish carvings on the golden yellow walls. The carpet was so thick my heels literally sank into it! n no 13 pointy stuff. The nice guy explained some senate stuff, n we left.
It was a priceless experience that every Malaysian should rightfully have. As a student, I saw the flaws n the beauty of the government. Some things r better left the way it is; n some has to b changed. Macam inilah jadi Malaysia~

to jump or not to jump...?

What is in the future?
It lies in ur own hands
If u choose 2 go 4 a de-tour,
The story never ends.

Some say we should leave it all 2 God,
N put all problems up on the shelf.
But then they jz simply 4got
That He helps those who help themselves.

There r times we hv 2 take the risk,
But I’m jz stuck in d past.
Sometimes we gotta b brave enuf 2 jump off the cliff,
That I’ll never know how long it’ll last.

Though I saw it coming,
N I cud hv put a stop to it,
But I jz allowed it to keep rolling
Without feeling regretful, not any bit.

Sometimes it jz seems all wrong,
Sometimes it feels so nice.
N we know it all along,
That the feeling won’t suffice.

How can I face the thoughts,
That keep rushing in my mind?
Looking at the thing u bought
Thinking maybe u’re jz too kind…

Those words “I’ll wait” Gives me more pressure,
It’s like I’m treating u like an unattended fart,
But I’m actually treating u as a treasure.
Someone very very close to my heart.

‘What on earth r u blogging?!’
That- must b wat u’re asking
Obviously I’m jz crapping
While my friends beside me sleeping.

My maths teacher jz goes on n on
This class never seems to end.
On my text book, my head shall rest upon
While everyone’s sleepy n that we cant pretend.

The end

college day

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged… not my fault. I was drowning in the assignments-due week. ‘m now on my way back home in ms sucy’s car. Yeap, I’m cool, blogging in a moving car! Muahaha. Ok, to catch up, I’ll briefly record wat happened lately.
Well, that INTI is a very patriotic institution, or shud I say it tries to make the students feel patriotic for the college. On the 1st of oct, INTI declared it COLLEGE DAY. So in conjunction to that, Joshua came over, heehee. He came over at fri nite. We literally spent the whole nite at block E ground floor, watching Kill Bill 1 & 2, n another perverted show, n chatted till we fell asleep on the benches. Wasn’t easy for the both of them (horny n shua), but I was pretty comfortable with the pillow n blanket, hahaha. Woke up when the sun was beaming in through the window, n maybe cuz I was a little hungry then. Feeling satisfied, the 3 of us packed n got ready for coll day. The road in front of the hostel blocks was flooded with ppl under the long stretch of canopy build-up. CF was selling spaghetti n garlic bread, n we tried most of the interesting junks then (hotdog with Waikiki mock tail from metropolitan coll, burnt mushroom soup from ultimate Frisbee club, candy floss , coconut drink, crêpe… ) after that we played some games from horny’s laptop n then left for kl. Basically our plan to have pizza for lunch failed, … they wanted to call pizza hut to ask them to dilliver us to them! Hahah, whacky plan…but overall I had a great time with my boobies.
There are a lot of unspoken words to explain the day… looking forward to days like these to come my way! Muahahah *sinister laugh –music fades off…

A closure

I was walking,
Walking on a path…
It started vaguely,
But the experience was ever so clear, so vivid
I came across amazing places, met interesting ppl…
I also came across trenches, obstacles n drains…
There were times when I ran/flew freely like a bird
N times when I fell hard n cried.

I was contented for a moment of time
Just following the path –high up the mountains n down valleys below
Until I saw
I saw the path was beginning to fade in front of me.

Being as patient as I am
I waited
All I wanted to know was how the road will turn out 2 b
As I walked on… I got confused
I was lost, cuz I couldn’t c the road no more.
I could only hear voices
Supporting n cheering for me
I knew I had to make a decision
Just that there weren’t any choices b4 me
I didn’t know where to go
So I stayed n waited sumore…

The wait was painful n long suffering
But I was grateful to hv ppl by my side
Pulling me through

N now
I finally see the road ahead.
A closure--
“u noe sumthin like when u're on a great journey n when de journey ends, it still holds de memory but there's no more road 2 journey on, sumthin like a closure”
So this is where it ends
Jz like that, so simple, so gentle
It ends…

living young

LIVE YOUNG CAMP—a weird name for a camp, but I joined it anyways. It was a camp organized by music club, peer interact something something club, n mind games club. It started off when horny n I was late for the opening. Was so relieved that we were in the same group. We wore the camp shirt on n sat obediently with the rest of the campers. It was in the sports hall, with about 50+ coll ppl there. I must say, I practically din know anyone else there, except for horny n zena from Frisbee club. Was a little worried that it’ll b a boring camp, but things started to go on pretty cool. The mc was sooooo funny, but no one seemed to b laughing at his jokes except for members of the lamerism club(me n horny). We had a counsellor from inti who spoke about pressure n stuff (weird start la) then we played some lame clapping games, got to know some new ppl in the temporary groups, learnt the cha-cha, went into groups by feeling around blind folded, then walked around inti in our groups, with a string as the connection to the other members tied to the fore finger, blindfolded, n forbidden to say a word through out the whole thing. Was so cool. Went back the sports hall with two blue fore fingers, n designed our group’s flag. {Synergy…. Synchronized energy} nice name eh?
Our cheer was even better! Our facilitator, jia ying, appointed me to b group leader, n the rest of the team insisted also, so I had no choice. I must say, our team was very chun, nicely distributed. So anywayz, we slept in sports hall, n I got up to the song “lets get it started ha! Lets get it started in here!” n they put the a/c to full blast!
With my teeth jittering n trying hard not to die on the 1st day of camp, I managed to pull myself together to have another awesome day. We had b-fast at bistro palma (yes, the one with the worst roti canai…) left inti at about… I dunno wat time (I always dun care much about the time n date during camps =þ) reached pd n we went straight to the tiny hall. Good thing it was air conditioned. Dr. Sia came to talk about enjoying coll life, n living it to the fullest. I was really motivated by it, as I too am like her, a B student, being looked down by some ppl, but I’m never gonna give up on living my life to the max. Had lunch, some group activities, and then we walked to the beach in the evening. And then- the REAL fun started. The team working games were sooooo torturous, so tiring, so muscle straining, but it was super fun! I’ve never been running that crazily in a long time. The beach was filled with fine sand n our face was hit with warm breezy wind from the sea. Yes, no kidding, I was in pd. It wasn’t the dirty n smelly beach u’re imagining.
Back in the apartment, we cleaned ourselves n had dinner. Then back to the tiny hall. More group activities, n more laughing. The mc, gilbert, was so darn funny. Plus the combo from the advisor, Andrew, wah! Can’t describe how much I laughed that nite. Later we were allowed to hv our own free time (fyi, it was about 12 plus then) so horny n I joined a group who wanted to go rebellious for food. We walked out, same rout to the beach. But this time we went further. We went into the nearest hotel, to ask them where to find food, it was of no use. So we ended up not eating, kicking back on the beach. It was so nice, the breeze, the cold sand, the dark sky, n sounds of waves…. Wah… wat an experience. I actually managed to encounter my fear of lightning that nite. I dunno y but the sky would constantly go really bright cuz of lightning, but no thunder, n no rain. So I sat there, n starred rite at the lightning for a few scary times, n then I got used to it! Woohooo! I’m cured from Astraphobia! Went back to room at about 4, n had to wake up at 7…
We did a pretty cool aerobic dance with the cha-cha steps we learnt b4. We packed after that, went back to the hall, n presented our group’s talent thingy. It was pretty good. The title was “life is ….” N we started of with “life is…dot dot dot dot DOTA!!!” but the end, our title was “life is ….what u make of it”. U wont get it unless u watch us act. Soon, we left the place, went to teluk something something for a group photo session, n then departed pd, back to inti.
Well, the purpose apparently was to make us live young, but then I felt a little older n mature in thinking. Hahah, their aim ‘fei gei’ d. I got to make a lot of new friends, learn more bout myself, hv a great break away from my course work, n spent some valuable time with my boobie. So who cares about the name of the camp? I benefited so much from it, that money cant buy! (I’m not gonna blog about the price of the camp, cuz I know horny will surely emphasize on it, hahaha)

dad's not-so-happy birthday

As a filial daughter of my awesome dad, I made it a point to go home jz for one nite to celebrate his bday… (Which reminds me… I 4got to ask him how old he actually was) went back to kl with ms sucy –my law lecturer, n mom came to pick me up from her place, then rushed to charmaine’s skool. I’ve never seen her drive so insanely… cuz we were kinda late n she din want charmaine to wait(also never seen her become gan jeong for me when I had to wait). Went home to wait for dad, then went to tasik permaisuri for dad’s bday dinner. The place was not so appetizing, though they claim to b a western restaurant. The food was… bad. The service was… weird. The ppl there were weirder. Anywayz, we hurriedly tried to finish our food, n left.
When we got to our car(my dad’s huge naza ria) was stuck. It was parked in front of a new supermarket, called “hero” and the lane was super narrow, with two car tightly parked beside it, n another two car parked at the other side of the road(illegally). No matter how hard my dad tried, it was impossible to get out from that place. So we waited, hoping that either one of the four cars would move away. One hour passed, n u cud literally see fumes coming out from my dad’s ears. It was so ironical that other cars were gradually moving away, except for those four cars. Even the manager of “hero” came out to try look for the owners. Then dad had to opt for the last resort… horn till the whole street would know that u own the naza ria. Another half n hour of horning went by, with my mom talking to the manager, n my sis & I doing lame stuff watching the workers close up “hero”. Well, dad’s last resort wasn’t really the last, the manager actually asked his workers to lift the car opposite to move it to another side, so my dad can move out. Woah, I totally din c that coming. Then finally we managed to get out of that place. The 1st impression was way way bad. Went home, immediately mcalled shua, chatted till 1 I think, then slept. I’m so gonna miss him when I’m gone. No one to cheer me up when I really nid one.
Well, I’ve got tests tmr, n I’ve not started abit of reivision. So till next time, peace out~

never too late in serving God

It was a very cosy Sunday morning, n as I was still deep asleep in bed, rebecca’s call woke me up. “jez lets walk to the bus stop together.”
“*yawn* okey… when?”
“errr… now? We’re supposed to b there at 8”
7.55am was wat I saw on my alarm clock. Shoot!
Got dressed. N thank God I dint miss the bus—it missed us…haha… everyone waited at the bus stop till 9, but we managed to get ourselves to church on time. The tiny little Banting church (Grace Assembly) was still quite empty until we (inti, nilai n another uni’s students) filled up most of the seats. It was friendship Sunday n guess who’s the guest…ALTERED FREQUENCY!!! They were seated humbly at the side of the hall. We had an awesome worship! Felt so good jumping while praising the Lord, and having fun in His presence. The service was very casual…no, very homely. Felt like I was in the house of God, glorifying him with my bros n sis in Christ. The lead singer, Andy, gave a short sharing on our duties as God’s children, and how Moses dealt with God’s plans for him. It reminded me that no matter how bz I am or will be, I shud still serve God in any way I can. As long as there is a heart of serving and the anticipation of letting ‘His will be done’. The alter call was great! The food was great! The ppl there were great! I bought their original cd (I actually hv a burnt one, but I feel awfully guilty owning one) n got their signatures. They r really cool ppl who hv their own lives, n yet whole heartedly serve God out of their bz schedule in their carrier. They were nominated as top 5 best English album...something like that… in AIM!!! Chun leh? And their song ‘exalt’ was in Hitz.fm’s chart… and another song was in xfresh fm… cant really remember exactly but I really admire wat they’ve done for Christ. Hormat!
So I pray that watever I do, I’ll try my best to serve God with watever talent He gave me, to glorify his name n not mine.

big big girl

Staying back in campus makes me feel like a grown girl…heehee, dunno y. well, maybe it’s like I get to do wat I wanna do without the nagging of 2 control freaks, aka parents, asking me to stay home n study… hahah, nola, they’re not that bad, jz that I’m a little restricted with certain things back at home. But over here, I’m freeeeee. Anyhow, I said I feel like a grown girl cuz I know how to control myself d. kinda…. I look at things comparing it with opportunity costs. In econs terms opportunity cost is the best alternative given up by a decision to do something else. Eg: The YMCA(yam cha) chances when ppl invite me to go, I place it next to the only time I hv left for sleep. Then I compare. Sleep has more value, so then my opportunity cost will b fellowshipping with me friends. Get? And so, must say, I’ve given up thousands of opportunities, n yet hv gained something more valuable.
Last evening after class, I went for my 2nd time to chempaka’s pasar malam with iris n lovena. It was quite fun. It’s always fun being with them. Lovena’s friend sent us there, and we ate sooo much! Soya bean, uncle bob’s chicken, satay, the ‘lok lok’-food u dip in hot boiling soup then u eat with sweet sauce, limau ais, chou kuey teow, chhese cake, tau fu fah… came back around 7.30pm n I felt so sleepy, so I slept till I was waken up by horny’s call for dinner. Though I din feel like eatin(after eating so much in pm) I jz went anyway cuz if I continued sleeping I would’ve waken up the next morning. Met horny, Johnny, joven, johnnathan, hin long etc in the basketball court. Sat there n watched some really cool games of bball. I always get really fascinated with the agility in guys who play bball. So yau ying…. Other than watching n waiting, I played with iris’ game boy advance (sponge bob square pants) n I was gggggoooooooddddd~~ hahah. I also played with my oil-blotter taking it as a Frisbee, tossing it back n forth with horny (like flying cards but with really accurate aiming), n I think we’re getting better, hehehe. Well, I sat on the bball court steps till I dunno wat time, accompanied horny for his dinner, had a nice chat then went back to sleep.
Next morning, got up reeaaaal early to jog! Yeap, no kidding. Horny n I jogged around melati for 2 rounds I think, then had the worst roti canai ever in bistro palma. The jog was refreshing. Haha, the opportunities of studying in an ulu place away from the smoke n congestion. Anyhow, with my low stamina, horny had to walk with me instead of jog after a while hahah… went back to hostel, bathe, slept, then did my work.
At noon, hin long took horny, Rebecca(ex roomie) n I out for lunch. Good thing nasi kandar shop was not open (I dun quite like the food there). So we ate in chempaka, then Amanda(cousin in aussie) called me! Though we cud communicate thru the net but hearing her voice n dai yee’s voice makes me even more excited on going there.
Came back hostel, did my work, slept sumore, n had dinner. I wasn’t feeling so good then but horny treated me with a lot of energy bars n a movie over dinner. I felt a lot better then. Hahah. We watched ‘serving sara’ with his laptop in block E with CTS. Then we played some all-time-fav battle ship game! Those were the days when I was young, blasting battle ships on my video game…
N so, see how much I’ve grown?! Hahah, big girls nid to have some fun sometimes, so screw the idea of being dead serious with all the major decisions n stuff (there r times for those), but for now, just relax n enjoy the existence of life n friends that came with it! Peace out

the unknown truth

Holding on to tears inside,
I’m trying not to cry.
Knowing there’s no place to hide,
But to just let time pass by.

Expecting it to last forever,
I kept my spirits high.
Now I know that I’m not so clever,
To keep forgiving and let things go by.

Some tell me not to jump to conclusions,
Some said “don’t let it distract you”,
But how can I find satisfaction,
If I don’t find out the truth?

What if I finally know it’s true,
How would I react?
I mite be down and blue
For experiencing the great impact.

Even if what i think is wrong,
And it was all a misunderstanding,
I already find that I don’t belong
To the one who kept me waiting.

I feel like I’ve been lied to and cheated
And gently being torn into pieces,
It is as if I’ve been defeated
By reality that has been so heartless…

*btw, the best song for this mood is "Hei Se You Muo" by Jay Chou

extraordianary things in an ordinary day

Waking up at 7 jz to b punctual for 8 am class is already torturing enuf for me… consider staying in class till 6 in the evening when ur mind is already all set for dinner or still in bed. Today, I had to bear with my maths lecturer with his funny looking grin up will six, rush back to room n get ready for PARTAY baybeh! It was a cf committee bbq thingy in johnny’s hse (though I’m already out of the committee but I was still invited, nyeheh) his hse was homely n cooling, heehee, but the best word to describe it is: new. The funny thing was I din c any bbq pit outside his hse, or any signs of food… b4 I could start panicking, I found out that the party was upstairs, at the veranda. It was a pretty large space with a gas-bbq-cooker. Really chun. We took turns to cook n I started to back off from the stove when Carmen told me my contacts may melt in my eyes if I was near the heat. After makan-ing, we played the most creative game I’ve ever experienced. We split ourselves into 2 teams: the lefties n the normal human beings, hahaha. Then each team was given lots of chewing gum, and toothpicks. After 10 mins of chewing, we had to form some creative designs on a paper plate using the chewed gum with toothpick (no hands) it was gross at the start but it ended up very amusing, with all our work of art+ saliva+ bits of toothpick… the normal humans won after judged by johnny’s little sis, annie. Then we had more fun downstairs with the ‘pig’ game n a few rounds of mafia. We left the place at about 11.45pm. hin long drove me to lovena’s hse (planned to sta over at her place to teach her some maths) b4 we reach her hse, kim beng was asking me stuff, so I din pay attention o the road, n hin long dint know the way so when I saw that he was ‘going to’ make the wrong turn, I immediately said “turn here!” then out of no where, a waja came so close to his car, almost clashing with it! Good thing his reaction was fast enuf to avoid n get into the rite turning. Then that waja stoped beside hin loong’s car. With windows down n blasting techno music, the guy talked rudely with hin long with a bat (the steering lock thingy) in his hand. Woah, it was so scary man…. Actually, it was party the waja driver’s fault for not turning on the front light, that’s y we din c them coming. After the creepy experience, I went into lovena’s hse, which was filled with cigerrate smoke smell. Well, it wasn’t so bad when in her room, so I was all the time inside, hiding. Helped her abit in maths, till I was soooo tired, and i finally did something that i do normally--sleep.

ultimate mosquitoe technique

The modern mosquitoes now a days hv somehow upgraded their skills on being a pest. Staying on the ground floor gives me the privilege to know how. Mosquitoes of the current generation not only aim to suck my blood when I’m not looking n cause me to itch like mad after that, they also hv a better purpose in living: to annoy me to the max b4 they kamikaze(fly real slow in front of me so that I can exterminate them). Now I’m not talking about the Foo-Pak! Technique, it’s jz simply the “Killing it Softly with my Palm” way, n I managed to execute four mosquitoes in half an hour, n still counting. It’s a good way to train my reflexes though, says horny. Like the ultimate way to spend ur time in the room.
Speaking of ultimate, I jz joined the Ultimate Frisbee Club! Now now, stop laughing n read on will u?! I realized how dead I was for the pass 2 sems in terms of outdoor activities, so since angela was trying to recruit more ppl to this club, I sort of gave it a try. I jz came back from the 1st training n I find it pretty interesting. An ULTIMATE game was created with jz a simple plate and 14 ppl of 2 teams. Though it was hard to get the hang in ‘flipping’ the plate …to the right person, the seniours there said they took about a few weeks to nicely throw the Frisbee (correctly). After getting bored of tossing the plate back n forth with Ee Lin and getting blisters on my middle finger, I stepped aside to watch the existing member play a real game of ultimate Frisbee.
After the game, I had dinner with them, met more ppl from other courses. I found out that most of them initially joined the club for other hidden motives (u know...), then later they started to get real good with the game so now their really into it. Well, I’m glad I’m in a club n that I hv the chance to meet ppl n do various types of activities n not b deprived in my own corner n let my college life slowly fade away. Bottom line—I’m enjoying myself =)

ifyouknowwutimean

One week jz passes in a blink of an eye, with no warning at all, reality jz snaps at u when u’re standing rite at the edge. This weekend was rather horrible for me, getting news of the unexpected. However, I’ve more than ready to face this new week ahead of me. My com now is close to ntg esp this time when the whole server in campus is down. No sound driver, my document constantly hang, n cant setup a lot of important progs.
Well, there were some stuff that I wanted to blog about but I jz dun hv the mood to rite now…. Feeling depressed n disturbed…ifyouknowwutimean

ggooooorrrgeous mate!

Sometimes, its pretty hard to describe ur day with jz one word, cuz it all jz has it’s own description for every situation. I went to my sis’ skool today, jz for a look c, n to get out of the house before I go insane. As I walked beside my sis n behind my mom along the aisle, eyes jz looked out of the classrooms, n it felt so weird. Some malay boys were like doing the squeeking sound as if they’ve never seen an outsider walking along that lane before. I ignored them by talking to my sis, asking her lame questions like ‘what’s 2 x 786?’ and ‘how do spell jay chow? Chau? Chou? Chao?’ after confusing her for a min, she left me alone n went to her friends, thinking I’ve gone nuts. So I stood there waiting for my mom, n these form 5 boys were like calling out “ah moi! Datang tukar skolah ke? Atau cik nak cari siape?” I was hoping that they were talking to another ah moi, but then I realized I was the only one standing there, I jz shook my head n ignored them. Then they asked more stuff like ‘umur berapa? Skolah mana? Telefon nombor apa?’ sheesh! Mom! Where the heck r u?! my sis wasn’t in sight, so I went to the canteen for cover. With my mp3 headphone on, n my holiday reading covering my face, I tried to show that I wasn’t entertaining their nuisance.
Left her skool n went to idp in jalan ampang. Dad walked over from his office to b with us. Though he wasn’t being very supportive in all my uni planning, but this time, it was so nice of him to jz come along. I know it isn’t easy for him to come up with that lump some of money for my education, wish I cud do something to help (but then I’m not smart enuf to get a scholarship, so I’ll hv to fully depend on dad). This lady, angeline assisted me in all the application stuff, n I chose communication media and culture as my 1st preference, communication and media management 2nd, and professional and creative media 3rd. I’ve no idea what I’ve gotten myself into, but it sounds like a very interesting thing to do. I surfed the site about the subjects and it’s mainly on publishing, editing blah blah. Other than these stuff, I seriously dunno what else can I do. Well, I hope that’s what God wants me to do or else it’ll be a waste of time and money. Now all I gotta do is wait for a month n receive my offer letter, then get my visa and medical checkup done, n I’ll b off to the land down under! I may be a little scared, but my excitement in going to another country to study covers it all. Wish me the best ya? Till next blog, c ya mate!

church camp

With my back pack over my shoulders, n sunglasses on my nose, I stood in front of the church lobby, wondering what n the world hv I gotten myself into. I’m about to join a camp for goodness sake! Yet I wasn’t at all excited. Maybe coz I knew I would b going alone with nothing to be excited about. Only loh pui yee n I were from the English youth, the others (young ppl) were either young adults or from the Chinese youth. I always look forward to camps, leaving home n enjoying myself with new found, clickable friends. Just not this one. Dad gv me a sound scolding b4 allowing me to come for this camp, saying that I’m not spending enuf time on my skool work n stuff. I was also ordered to b mama’s temporary ‘slave’ for the entire camp duration, which I dun mind that, its jz that they should hv trusted me better from the start.
I went on the bus, walked straight to the back with yin yee n pui yee. They were merely the only ppl who I can hang out with, the rest are jz kids, or working adults, n not to mention, the elderly-s. I think there r more senior citizen than the adults n kids put together. I don’t mind them honestly, jz that they filled the place with strong ‘fong yau’ smell, which makes me feel dizzy. Throughout the whole journey, yin yee told me her whole few-weeks-back-drama, which I found it pretty interesting. Arrived melacca water city resort, still not in the enthusiastic mood, but smiled anyway. The place was cool, nicely designed with a man made lake rite in the middle n a hanging bridge across it. The activities available were also funjoyable, just that I din hv money n no one was appropriate enuf to go play with me. I helped mama carry her stuff to her room b4 I went to mine. I shared a room with lisun (gf of camp commander). I also shared an apartment with the wong family n mun yee’s friend Eleonor from England. Thought they wud b of good company but they were mostly out to melacca city n did not fully participated in the activities. So I sticked close to lisun, n prayed that I’d hv fun. Well, God was great as always, I did hv fun (if I look at the brighter side, that is).
The speaker was Dr. yee who was a researcher n lecturer in Theology. For a smart man like he, he’s very sociable, n said I looked like zhang zi yi. Even ps chan agreed. Haha, anywayz, his preaching was rather profound n not easily understood, however we got used to it after a few sessions of him repeating the word ‘Eros’ which form the word erotic. (song os songs 4:1) I din know that the bible was sooooo precise on certain things n it totally blew me away!
After sessions, we were separated into diff groups, n I landed in the most “cham” group. Our leader took off the next day to go golfing n some had children to care for, some din even know they were from our team, so the remainders who actually ‘wants’ to participate joined other groups. N the funny thing was, my group won 1st runner up in overall group points, haha. Maybe it was because we were given the same points as the groups that we participated in (telematch n talent performance). The 1st nite I managed to contact chee meng who came with his seniors to jz come hv a look c, n to meet up with me. Its been such a long time since I saw him n I wish he could stay n accompany me throughout the whole camp, but he had classes the next day. Anyhow, we had a good chat b4 I retreated to my apartment where Jason n Jerome came over to hv a chat with the former English youths (yin yee, loh pui yee, wong phui yee, mun yee, lisun, me). We played 2 rounds of chordai dee n I won twice.
Had a morning devotion with uncle Denise leading. Was rather funny, looking at how his daughters talked to him. Went for 2nd session, lunch, skipped 3rd session, helped out a little in the telematch preparation, then had a great time during the telematch. This girl called June was in my team n she stuck close to me. We really had fun looking at aunty wai ying flow flour as it stuck to her face, passing bananas with our knees, eating chili padi, garlic, onion, bitter gods, ginger…, running around with 2 old ppl complaining of their old age. Everytime I met /helped an old person, I gotta address myself as ho yoke lan’s granddaughter, or else they wouldn’t even remember u. after dinner, we had this talent nite thingy where each group had to come up with a sketch to sell a certain product. I was sooo funny looking at old ppl do the unthinkable! later that nite, we had a good game of cluedo. I almost won….almost! When Jason finally came, most of them were already sleepy, so the remaining games weren’t as challenging.
I woke up late on the last day, missed morning devotion, cuz I slept really late the nite b4. Dragged myself for breakfast n the final session. Went back feeling relieved that the whole camp is over. I finally could get back to my own world. But, I got to get close with June, n some old ppl who I never talk to even when I see them in church. Didn’t regret going for this camp just that it’s a pity that I wasn’t having fun WITH the ones that I usually hv fun with.
Overall, I found this year’s church camp very new. It was like I was going to another church’s camp n not my own. N most of them spoke in Chinese, n it really reminded me how sucky my Chinese is. There are a lot of thing I learnt from this camp, that I wish I had the time to blog it but sorry—no time.

A tribute to my lost pix....

Lets pause for a moment of silence for my pc, which went thru trials and tribulations, thru thick n thin, thru the good n bad times with me, etc etc. as u shut up in condolence for my com, lemme retell the story of the downfall of my com.. it started off a few weeks ago when the Microsoft office went nuts. Everytime I clicked on the m.words, my com will auto restart, causing me to not save the important stuff I was doing halfway. Liz will know how tedious work became to me as our lecturers began to warn us on late submitted work. I had to re-do some essays, crack up some new ideas on my legal assignment n re-do the youth schedule. Thx liz for helping me print those stuff, n thx horny for ur laptop. Soon, the term break came n I tot it would b a good time to give my com a little break, but then I overestimated its capability in retaliating from that weird sickness, n continued using it when I brought it home.
On wed*** as shua tried to send photos to my com from his hp, the blue screen of doom came for the 1st time. “oh cool, it now shuts down my com instead of restarting it, so if I wanna turn off my pc, I jz double click Microsoft words” I happily commented. Soon I knew, it was the worst sign any computer can take. Everyone’s reply was “hor~~~ gotta format d…” when I told them about my com’s condition. Took it to justine’s hse last fri nite. Goh goh(Sebastian), our family’s computer doctor was available then. He was on high demand as clemence’s com needed some help too. Goh goh showed me the ‘I’m-sorry-i-cant-save-ur-beloved’ look b4 he did whatever he had to do to make my com work again.
Things weren’t so bad with my cousins around to cheer me up. Mandy was ever ready with her lame IQ questions, Theresa comforted me by relating her reformatting story, Justine supported me by offering her peak online time to get my com fixed, ah boy (clemence) gave me chocolates, n my sis did good in keeping quiet. All my pictures… assignments, collections, all gone. Looking at the screen showing 25%, 27%, 30%... was painful for me n boring for the rest so we all watched house of fury in the hall. That surely did make me smile, no…, laugh.
Finally, it was done, my entire C drive gone. Leaving me with only vague memories of my work, n most importantly, my pictures that I took. Those pix from mabul-sipadan with brats, smktd pix, family pix during CNYs n new years, pix from church, prom, college wacky moments, pix for self-admiration…. Feeling so sad rite now… haih…now I seriously know how horny felt when he lost his hp with pix inside.
Well, all I can do now is to b ever ready with my digi cam n start taking nicer pix, as I anticipate greater times to come. And also to b smarter in managing my stuff in my com, so that none of this catastrophe can happen again

Happy failure

Woke up early today (24/8/05-wed), jz to get my ic done, which in the end was done only at 11am… the photo taking experience was not good… not good. I wasn’t told about anything. Mom jz asked me to sit n wait. I knew something bad was coming so I fixed myself jz incase the machine infront of me would snap the bad angel of me. N b4 I knew it, the light of the machine slowly died off n the man said “ok cik, boleh pergi counter dua” I was like… “huh?!” u mean u took my pic ALREADY?!??!?! Darn, then I saw my pic in the screen on the flat LCD in counter 2. at 1st I tot who was the girl who took her pic with her eyes closed? Then only I realized it was me… nicely smilling with my eyes closed. *tooooooooot* he cud at least tell me or count ‘satu, dua, cheeeezze!’ haiz, I’ll jz have to close my eyes and smile the next time ppl identify me with my ic.
Well, my day was soon cheered up by hum the magnificent, peili the powerful n horny the horny, ahaha(not made up by me- I jz got it through an sms I received b4 my rescuers came). We had lunch in tepanyaki, mv. Josh n I ate mount fuji, horny n peili also had one fuji too, heehee. Got my mp3 fixed by a young lad who works in this weird looking office in mv boulevard. Shua n I tried to catch up on the latest lame jokes that came to mind, as pei li walked beside horny who looked as if he didn’t sleep n couldn’t sleep for ages. All of us knew all he could think of then was wat to do if his results did not turn out the way he expected, n tried not to give him bad ideas on it.
Arrived at shua’s hse to continue our movie marathon but then it failed cuz there were kids around, u know. So we ended up playing with shua’s little sis. B4 that, horny’s hands were sweating when we checked our grades online. He made me check mine 1st, which I already didn’t expect a nice piece with rockets for any subject. Was jz plain relieved that I didn’t fail my econs, n any other subject. I honestly was more excited to c horny’s results. Both shua n I gave him ‘boobie support’! hahaha, okok, sound obscene. Well, turned out he did better than good, so we celebrated his achievement by… by doing stupid things that we usually do, hahaa. Since my com was already dead then, I took the chance to do my hw with shua’s laptop, as they danced on the dancing mat behind me. It was soooo entertaining looking at horny n shua ‘dance’. Wei wen, shua’s lil sis said “look jez! goh goh is finally dancing!” hahaha. The small n crowded room was messed up by our presence (actually it was messy from the start already). That’s wat I call a home-messy, cozy, merry, entertaining, noisy… I met shua’s 1st, 2nd 3rd n 4th wife, then had dinner on the 1st floor (not ground floor)of the chunted home. Shua, u got a really unique home there. So, after u makan, wat do u do? U minum! We went to this shop #### for very expensive but worthy drinks. Peili n I loved the one that tasted something like vodka diluted in some soda drink, but the guys liked the berry thing with red wine, which tasted like the pinkish fever medicine. At 10, they sent me home feeling satisfied n happy to finally hv set foot into the home of hums.

kerana ku malaysia!!!

Every year on independence day, I would b sitting in front of the tv with breakfast dripping down my chin, as I gaze lazily at the ant-like formations by patriotic ppl with the jalur gemilang hung all over the place. But not this year. I spent the independence morning with my law text book, frivolously memorizing the steps on how the magistrate courts put bad ppl into the rite superior courts to b trialed. Sad rite? So much for being independent. The annual tradition was stripped away by the heavy burden of passing a law test. It was the only time in the year for me to hv the perfect reason to b lazy – “mom, I’m not lazing around, I’m celebrating national day by being happy for the ppl who worked so hard to make up that performance. If no one watches this, it’ll b a waste of our scarce resources!” will be my response when my mom starts saying I’m being a bum. anywayz, I’m glad I at least get to sit quietly in my room with no missiles launched a few miles away, and my house would not b torn apart without warning, no dead bodies lying on the roadside as military troops in tanks search the place for survivors. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY, MALAYSIA!!!! Man… u’re getting old.

late author

Wow, I feel like a modern writer/author/novelist, sitting down on my bed with the sounds surrounding me drowned by the music I’m blasting in my ears, a lap top on my lap, starring blankly out the window as if looking for the right words to use in my ‘production’, heehee. Notice that I missed a lot of blogging days rite? Well that’s coz my ever most ‘loyal’ com was down with the flu, then fell into a sudden chronic death, when (as josh put it) the blue screen of doom appeared. Goh goh (my cousin bro) gave me the ‘I’m sorry I’m unable to save ur com’ look, jz b4 hr formatted my whole C drive in justine’s hse. Well, I’ll blog about that tragic nite another time, for now I’m jz gonna blog about wat happened today.
It’s the 2nd day of the final sem n I’m beginning to hv secret nervous breakdowns already. I’ve to hand in a law media research by Friday, a creative writing essay by next Monday, law test on next Tuesday(6 chaps), English presentation on thurs together with acc’s retest, n maths quiz on fri…. that’s jz the 2nd week of the sem! I actually did some work during the hols but it was all gone when my com died last Friday. So my desperate move was to borrow horny’s wife(his lap top) for these 2 days.
This morning, I woke up from my dream when I saw a head popping into my room. It was lizzie’s calling me in a “wat the..?” tone. Class starts at 8 n it was then 8am… wooopss! I had a bad nite last nite, trying so hard making my com function normally. After it was resurrected, ntg was left in it except for a few episodes of FRIENDS n my song collection. All the other programs were gone! Anywayz..! I was still smilling =) good thing I have useful friends like lizzie who help configured most of the technical thingies, n horny who stayed up with me while I get done with my com.
Oh ya, about today(heehee, keep drifting away) went for maths class, walked around coll with angela then later with lizzie, went to the university placement office to ask about applications to unis, blah, then makan in bakery, acc class, got back to sleep, did my work, packed, law class, balik kampung, yam tong in popo’s hse, now I’m smelling good n fresh on my bed with soooo many things in my head that I wanna type. BUT, no time. So stay tuned for more of my backtracking blogs soon! adios

great day spent at home

wats the best way to spend ur holidays? stay at home n watch movies, rite? well, i had a better one. my boobies came over today, n planned to hv a movie marathon. they came at about 9.45am...i was still half asleep. we kick started the day with 'fantastic 4' followed by 'charlie n the chocolate factory'. we were so hungry then, which led us to the kitchen. b4 i knew it, we were making ourselves food. wah, so proud of ourselves, hahaha, managed to cook up some pretty good maggie curry. then my mom fed us with more food, n marcuz was so fascinated with cutting stuff. he sliced the honey dew n grapes into such small cubes that i think it'll b very convenient for those ants in my kitchen to carry away. joshua was jz enjoying his maggie which he added the extra flavouring in. we had yogurt with the tiny pieces of fruits, n wanted to watch unleashed, but then we dint hv enuf time, so we watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S instead. at about 6+ we left to fetch charmaine from skool. dropped by at jaya jusco for a walk, then to popo's hse. had dinner(more food!) then sent the both of them off at ktm station. nice way to spend ur holiday rite? looking forward to more funjoyatastic times like these. ~peace out~

another day out

went out for a show with yee yee today. i din plan to go out today since i already wasnt home for the past 2 days, but yeeyee has been calling me almost everyday to get me out for a movie so i gave in. she drove there in kau fu's car, stopped by at a travel agent cuz she needed to do some stuff. that place was literally like hong kong. everyone spoke perfect cantonese, even the big boss. n the male employers there were a little 'gay'. the typical hong kong gay guys. then we walked over to time square, bought tickets for 'bewitched', grabbed some food, then went in the hall. i expected watching some imax movies but then we didnt quite know the place n we were running out of time, so wat the heck, watever movie will do. the show was ok...i'll give it 5 out of 10. nothing major to 'ooooohahhhhhh' about. i jz like the way nicole kidman talk. so innocently sexy. as we were leaving, i saw yin yee, also walking out with her friend, wat a coincidence. walked around time square, good thing i din hv my wallet with me today, or else i wouldnt wanna know the consequence. well, yeeyee bought a pants n we left. everytime i come to this place(sg wang, time square, low yat, bintang walk...) i get to learn a little bit more about the place. gimme a few more times, i'll b able to read the place like the back of my hand, muahahaa!

the unexpected knowledge

went back to college today with my boobies, main reason was to get my law text book to finish up my media research, however, i've gained more knowledge than i've expected of today. marcuz' mom is an auditor, n she had to check on some cancer machines used in a cancer hospital in nilai(that was y i cud tumpang, josh came along to kill time) we stopped by that hospital, n left with the car when his mom went to work. had breakfast at al-salam, watched 'man of the house' with marcuz' laptop in block e, invented a dumb ball game with josh while waiting for marcuz, played a crazy game of bball with no rules in the hot bball court, took a shower, had lunch at a place in cempaka, came back to block e to watch 'herbie', rushed back to the hospital to fetch his mom, tought we were late but then we were invited in to check out the new divice that they use to cure cancer. n that was when i learnt ALOT about cancer. i saw this chun machine that cud kill cancer cells, only 2 in the whole of msia! the thing was so cool, it cud turn 360degrees n the floor will sink in when the device reaches the floor. there were moulds for patients to stay still as the machine worked on them, n also the hospital melts metal stuff to the shape of the body part that has the cancer cells so that the metal thingy will protect other healthy parts from being zapped out. the metal cube was so heavy, i think its as heavy as my monitor except smaller. there r jz sooo many things that i wanna write about but its jz too technical that u jz hv to c it 4 urself. we also had a look at the CAT scan(which looked like a super huge polo sweet) to diagnose wat kind of cancer u kena. waahhh, it was all so amazing! we left the hospital with our jaws hanging way below our face. then we dropped by at nilai 1, planned to find dinner there but all they sold there were cloths or clothes that were soooo 'fan ban'. marcuz's mom bought alot of little thingies that u put little thingies in it, haha, man, i'm bad in describing. anyhow, i got myself a chun container for my cork collection, shua got one for his matchstick collections. to cut the whole story short-the place was boring, so we went to south city plaza instead. the traffic was so heavy n we were starving but we were laughing so hard, all the way there, joking on our names pronounced backwards n on the blackcurrent ribena mascot that goes "Brrr"(with high putched tone). wonder what marcuz' mom was thinking about these 2 crazy laughing machines behind the car. ohya, i also learnt that josh wears the seat belt in the back seat. was soooo funny looking at him do the Brrr thing while being strapped back to his seat. well, we had dinner, n both josh n i were amazed at how marcuz fed himself. i think his mom was getting worried too, i think he cud eat an entire cow that nite! we even had 'cinabon' after dinner which includes alot of satays in the end. went shopping with his mom, then headed back home. it was really a thrilling day, having the chance to play ball, watch movies, look at machines, laugh at some dumb mascot, eat till u no longer can take in anymore... jz in one day. -pure satisfaction-

day out with my boobies

i thought the holidays would b jz boring, having to finish up my projects n stuff, but it turned out to b great even though its jz the 2nd day of the week. joshua suggested, that since we dint do anything special for marcuz, we shall give him a surprized birthday scare-one week after his bday. so both of us got up early, n josh bought a pathetically small yet tasty secret recipe cake, a coconut(do not ask me y) n a snow spray thingy. we gathered everything, including peili at 8.30am, n set off to his place, hoping that he's still asleep. when we got there, it was obvious he jz woke up with his uncombed hair, bengkak eyes, n shirt worn inside out. the 3 of us had fun spraying white snowy stuff on his body, his sister was enjoy the prank from a safe distance. then we raided his room, ate the cake n drank the coconut drink, played some lame computer flash games, took some lame pix n went out to get our things done: joshua had to get his darling phone fixed, marcuz needed to change his FF8 cd, peili needed to get a job n i had to get my baby mp3 fixed. left his home at 10.40am, had lunch in red box(was my 1st time in redbox n i must say the sound system really is better than neway). met peili's bf, screamed out hearts out, we even sang 'night fever' n 'staying alive' while marcuz fell asleep on the couch. then we went to get our things done, wich ended up peili getting her job(i think) n all 3 of our missions failed. by then our stomachs were calling out to us, so we went over to sg wang for food. i made marcuz n josh to do me a favour- prevent me from buying any type of clothing that is on sale. so they did a good job by blocking my view when we came to the clothes department, job nicely done, hahaha. i managed to get out of sg wang unscratched, no new clothes on hand, though it was hard but i did it! i walked out of the building feeling proud(but i managed to get myself a pair of sunglasses from vincci... that was something i needed, so its not counted)=þ after picking out some better looking specs for josh, we left the place in a jam packed monorail which we waited 3 to 4 monorails to go by to actually get into one-in one piece. ppl were squished inside that tube, n sometimes u wonder what their wandering minds were thingking at that very moment. we switched to ktm at kl sentral, n said bye to both of them at seputih stop. i tell u, we never stopped laughing since..since... since this morning! was good exercise for my stomach. came down at salak selatan stop, n as i was expecting a building to b infront of the station, it suddenly hit me that i was at the wrong station when i didnt see the building there, instead it was a large piece of unwanted land. then i remembered that i actually had to take the star link n not ktm(which also has a stop called salak selatan). but calm as i were, i jz walked out of that creepy place to find out where exactly i was, n then i saw the busy road which was more familiar. called my mom, told her the new location to pick me up n got home safe. its always fun hanging out with my boobies(do not get me wrong, boobies=a word invented by my boobies when they learned about the word boo which means really close buddies-nothing obscene or foul about it-a friendly word). they claimed that this would b my last term break with them as i mite b going down under next year, leaving my boobies behind, so they said they'd wanna spend more time with me. n i'm enjoying it =) ~peace out~

shopping fever

i jz found out something today.... its mainly bad news for my dad and good news for... no one(well, maybe for those involved in the industry)... that i'm not only a chocoholic, i'm a SHOPPOHOLIC!!!! y does it hv 2 happen?! i tot i had full control, i tot i had the ability to hold tight to my wallet, and jz go for a simple window shopping. but no... things r getting worst. i not only hv to start bringing less money out, i also hv to keep my mind off those clothes that r on 70% discount by locking myself in some place with food or burry my face in a thick book if i'm ever near or in a shopping complex. last time, i remember it was me controling ppl from buying too much, but now, its my turn to b held back from touching those things on sale. maybe it runs in every girl's blood. but then there r some girl friends who hate shopping. i guess its jz the sale season that's giving me high fever n go nuts when i see that [SALE] sign. i went out with mom today, n i think she regreted on pointed out that nice black shirt from tz' factory. from that black shirt, it led me to a white top, then to another n another. amazing how things work around places like these.maybe its the songs they play in complexes that when u play it reversed u'll hear "buy more stuff, u cant get it anywhere else, in any other time, but now, here. spend till u hv no money to eat or even go home! muahahaahaha" but i cant blame them for my disease, they really do hv some point there, dumb consumers like me hv to fall for their advertisement persuasions or else they wont survive. see, from another point, i'm contributing to the cycle of the economy, so that unemployment rate will remain low, thus living standards of the society will be high. on the contrary, my living standard will eventually deteriorate n i'll hv to get another route for my source of money inflow... ok, enough crapping. i've to sleep to go for another day of shopping tmr. its the survival of the fittest!!!

smart but cant overcome exams...?

exams-- one thing u have to go through in life. we have to go through tests, trials, tribulations, afflictions, obstacles, watever n watever, in order to succeed in the end. but now, for me it's jz going through it to suffer n to learn how to accept my failures. it never was easy, looking at ur pathetic grades on the list, praying that no one knows ur ID number. but then, in some ways, i do enjoy exams. i get to study with ppl who r also going through those watever watevers. i studied on ground floor of block E almost everyday and nite for a week (we were considered indoors so somehow were safe from the haze). the CF clan combined 3 tables together, making something like a fellowship of the square ring thingy. ur room seems to b a depressing place to study n block E was all filled with the spirit of 'studying'. not that i love to study, but once i set foot into block E, i would want to read up the syllabus covered in my exams-maybe coz everyone's eyes were either on books or laptops. i also enjoy group studying, things get in ur heads better(especially the time when i had group study with liz n yew keong on law n econs). oh ya, not forgetting watching futurama with horny while having lunch/dinner. the show was lame, but it was funny looking at horny laugh at stupid things when u're jz supposed to go -_-" haahaha, horny, F.R.I.E.N.D.S. is still my all time favourite, no offence to futurama. but i enjoyed myself, even though i was supposed to be suffering n grieving. well, it's not over, i've more things to enjoy about now, nyehehehe. oh ya, b4 i end, i jz wanna put down a little somethin' somethin' that i achieved this week. i did an IQ test that horny ask me to, and i scored at total of 160 out of 200!!!! yeeehar!! though my 2nd test was jz 125, but i still beat horny. HAHA! others (liz, sam, alwyn, ashley...)tried that test too, but they still couldnt beat me, MUAHAAHAH. okok, better stop this b4 someone comes n stuff their shoe in my mouth. till next time, ciou.

haze, haze, go awayz

as i walked out of the classroom one day last week, i saw thick smoke in front of me so i thought it was my glasses fogging up, but then i wasnt wearing my glasses! i was on contacts, then wat the...? then i saw ppl choking beside me, walking with hands on nose n mouth, then only i realized i too was grasping for 'real, genuine' air. so then i thought it was some little forest fire thingy near college-since inti is located in the middle of some jungle n a desert(dun ask me how they combinate-they jz do) . then it got worse. we had to feel our way back to our rooms. my hands were on horny's hp-cum-camera, snapping shots of hills n greenery that was once there n now gone. the haze was so bad, that birds have no where to mate! no kiding. i was filling up my water tumbler in the pantry one day n there was this pair of birds, indoors. they were chirping so loudly we cud hear the echo at the end of the alley. then tiba-tiba, this bird was trying to go ontop of the other bird. i was like...OMG! praying that the water would fill my tumbler faster. can u imagine?!?!? birds cant mate at their natural habitat n they have to do it inside...? oh puleez!! go get some privacy...man..anywayz, i've been drinking alot of water since everyone who u talk to now no longer end their conversation with 'take care, bye'; instead they say 'drink lots of h2o, bye'. but then my lips were cracking still... making me look like princess Armidala from SW1(is that how u spell her name?) well, guess the haze is here to remind us not to take the free 'air' for granted. breathe it while u still can.

i'm alive!

i'm alive..? i'm...ALIVE! i've jz been resurected from the dead. the guy with the hood n hook has left the scene, the sun is up, n i'm smilling till my cheeks hurt. its the end of the war...war against being sleepy at 12+ but still forced to carry on to finish up the whole syllabus; war of not watching friends for one week; war of living like a zombie with a scheduled dying time; its THE END of the war of sem 2 finals!!!!! muahahahaha! ...nyek, *cough choke* n here comes the final sem--major killer. but i'm not gonna let that ruin my 2 weeks of unroutined life. though i've to finish up 6 chapters of law in this 2 weeks n hand in a media research report by the 1st week of skool, n also a super-thick-ENL-project by next sem.....*breathe in..* BUT ntg is going to stop me from having fun. woohooo!!!! holidays! come to mama~~ i watched more than 10 episodes of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. continueously today, while packing. it was so nice => unbelievable how that show can make me laugh till my stomach cramps n even make me cry...i mean seriously cry, not the laugh-until-cry cry(it was when ross n rachael broke up for the 1st time-season 3). i was enjoying myself in my room all day, still being swept away with the feeling of being free. i shifted my stuff to my new room(angela came to help with the heavy ones), n i was amazed that i was actually living in a room full of dirt! unseen dirt-under the cupboard, the bed, the CPU, my printer. yer.... and the poor lizards that lived with the dirt... eewwww... but then its good lizards were around, to help eat up stupid mosquitoes. one thing bad about them...they r not toilet-trained! they poop everywhere in the room, so i've to look properly where i step in case i step on land bombs that look like some tiny black thing shaped like a grain of rice. n not forgetting the inccident in the toilet! yuck! --i shall not relate that story here in public... too obscene. well, but i'm glad i finally get to clear up the place, n shift to a cleaner room. it was nice living in DG-25. great memories though it was jz a few months. the amount of liquid i've spilt on the floor...the number of insects i've killed in the room (grace's greatest fear is to hv any contact with insects, so i've to kill them all) i'll miss this room... well, i shall write more about the things i missed blogging about another time, to give u a break n make this blog look well proportioned. -over n out-

i din't get lost going to low yat-alone!!! (big achievement)

well, if u're a loyal reader(haha, jz writting that to make myself feel gooo~ood) u wud hv noticed i havnt been blogging for quite some time d. well, its either my life has become so dull that i dunno what to blog about or probably too excited till i dunno where to start. well, i can say its neither. its jz that i've been choking with assignments, tests, quizes and so forth for the past week, n when i finally have the time to blog, my inspiration n mood goes to my ever-tempting hostel bed. ok, enuf crapping, i shall write about my day in kl. the story was this: rememeber my dying baby mp3? well, it's fixed! hallelujah! so i had to go low yat to retrieve it. n since i had to meet someone in kl so i arranged everything to get my butt down. good thing lovena had to go there too, to get some information on tatoo places n body piercing 'services' for her law project. her fren ,nicholas, came to accompany her. i told her i'll b doing my own stuff in kl, then i'll meet her again when we're done. so when i got down to sg wang, i kena ffk. well, i cant get mad...i never do. so i went along with lovena. we had lunch at a jap restaurant on the 6th floor. pretty nice place. nick paid for it. then we went to the tatoo parlour, which was not what i assumed it wud look it. it was brightly lit, with alot of pix on the wall, of ppl with tatoos n pierced body parts. the guy asked lovena to come on week days so her mission failed. then we went to get my mp3, walked around, nick went to cut his hair, lovena went for a Lan CÔme thingy where they give u free make up n free photo shoots n a free magazine if u pay 30bux to subscribe for some stuff. i was waiting there for her then the ffk-er called n said he'll meet me in 20 mins to pass me something. so i waited 10 mins n started to walk to low yat(i knew that i din know the way so i needed 10 mins to get lost) suprisingly i found my way thru to low yat, waited there for about 15 mins, then he called n said he was in a jam, so i waited sumore. saw khai shang n some st john juniours (found out that st johns won 1st prize for marching comp! so happy for them, n felt a little shameful of myself-coz i din get best commander when i was one back then) then waited sumore, until i beh tahan, n started to walk back to lovena. when i got back, nick was with lovena waiting for me at a very expensive coffee house, drinking a cup of 12-buck coffee each. i sat there waiting for the call, then ran back as soon as he called. got a very very beautiful wrap-around-skirt. jz that i think he forgot that i was short, n the skirt is too long for me... got back to them then we went back to nilai. for the whole day, i jz spent money on transportation per se. honestly, i wud have stayed in n finished up my draft on sat n relaxed on sun if i knew i was gonna spend it this way. newayz, i shall let by gones b by gones. till next time, ciouuzzzz

tricks u never wanna teach ur com

when u nid them the most, they will always fail u... i'm refering 'them' to computers n technical stuff. my com here, has been faithfully serving me for the past few years and it has always been very smart in sencing when i nid it the most, and that is when it will shut down on me. lately, ms jun my english lecturer wanted us to hand in all the past works that we have done, and i, who have trusted my com to the max, nicely saved my work in my C drive. now that i desperately need those stuff, microsoft has to play tricks on me by restarting my com automatically whenever i open a file from microsoft. ms mok my econs teacher, who admits that she like torturing us, also made us hand in our presentation's hard copy to her by friday. and i couldnt open my power point file on thurs nite. just the rite time rite? such a smart computer i have. good thing we were smart enuf to re-locate my files n did the hardcopy thing on time with my partner, nicole's laptop. another case is my new, baby mp3. i bought i mainly for leisure n pleasure, heehee. n now that i've got to start interviewing ppl for my eng n law research, my mp3 also learnt my computer's style= play dead. just great! hopefully ntg goes wrong wtih my hp, or i'll die of veins-popping-in-my-head sickness. well, i better end it here b4 my com goes haywire again. wish me luck even in posting this blog...

a change?

hot baths- exactly wat u nid on a rainy day, though its not in a hot tub with bubbles or rose petals, but a hot bath is wat i nid rite now. n of all times, someone has to b in the hot water cubicle. every single time, i repeat, every single time i wanna have a hot bath, someone has to b there. except for one time i was bathing really late at nite. grace doesnt face this difficulty. its jz me. its jz weird. why me? so out of desperation, i resorted to the cold showers. well, i must say i'm not so much of a cold person(though a cold shower can b very refreshing) but i still prefer being hot/warm. as i was taking that super cold shower, i realized how stuborn i was. when someone was using the hot bath, i wud wait there with my pail n towel. i jz wouldnt give in for a change. when ppl r so comfortable with wat they hv, then it would take one million good reasons for a change, or else u cud jz 4get about it. the comfort zone really holds tight to the lazy bums who jz wouldnt opt for something new--its natural. take hin loong for example. he was telling us of his pharmacy experience while driving us back from makan. he said he goes to this pharmacy n buys stuff from that place. one panadol pill cost him 2 bux, n he buys 5 pill. he keeps going to that place, until one fine day it was closed. so he had go a little further to another pharmacy..which sold 40 cents per pill. he never knew about that until he CHANGED. well, cant blame him for that... poor sick guy. but then if we were more used to change, we wud b living in a more flexible world, accepting new trends n new discoveries. maybe the change cud b better, but of course, maybe not. so far, i've never heard of ppl dying coz of change, well, maybe not to a certain extend. anyhow, its all in the mind set. u either set it to b a firm mind set, or u set it to b flexible n adventurous with a little thing they call 'change'...

hearing aids for mamak

every single time i order maggie mee goreng TAK MAU PEDAS, they would nicely gimme maggie mee goreng pedas. then when it comes i'll ask "pedas tau tak?" they'll say "sikit sikit..." *music*

music, my companion n medicine. when i'm happy, it makes me happier n upbeat. its also like my plaster when i'm hurt n down. some songs make me feel hyper, some songs can make me sit still n shut up, some can make me feel like i'm falling in love all over again, some brings back long forgotten memories, some can even make me feel kinda sexy, hahaha. music~ it can easily change my mood[if u know how to pick the rite songs] lately, i've been forcing instrumental music into my ears, blasting it on my headset, trying to drown the twins songs played by my neighbour. they said listening to intrumental songs can boost ur IQ, but i jz find it very artistic. how on earth can maxim play so many notes in one go? its like he's playing the piano with his fingers n toes. i also noticed i cud culculate faster while listening to the flight of a bumble bee. music~ oldies especially, can make me admire, the way beegees pull the high notes thru out the whole song, n how girls can fall for 4 mushroom-headed beetles, how elvise can dance properly in his bell-bottoms singing "u aint ntg but a hound dog". its a wonder. music~ chinese songs r always sentimental. its like their gonna cry any moment. but its still nice after all. the fast beat ones r also pretty cool, rapping in chinese is cooler. music~ ballards that have trumpets ballowing like no one's business. its like u can imagine broadway dancers kicking in can-cans singing "new york! new york!".definitely can fight with bollywood dancers. music~ hip hop n r&b, goes watzup????!!! to all da shorteys n all u dawgs r my homieeesss yoyo! heehee. finally, the jazz and the blues. soothing n jazzy.... i was listening to michael buble then frank sinatra, n felt like i was listening to something twice. they were practically singing the same song, so it was like double pleasure. music~poetry~beat~rhythm....

stuffed sunday

last sunday.. that was yesterday to b exact, i went to city harvest church at sunway. phui yee came to pick me up,then keith then sandra, then all the way to tropicana to fetch ming, then to sunway. took us such a long time to get there... man it was tuff sitting at the back seat of a kembara, with 2 guys squishing me in the middle. when we got there, i was suprised to c that i was walking into a building in between used-car store-place/bengkel/watever u call them. there wasnt any signs that leads to this church.pretty rugged on the outside, but when i stepped into the church, it was like a totally different world. fully carpeted n air conditioned. this tall, fair n handsome usher showed us the way to the hall. the lobby was a little small, but it opened up to a huge place (looks pretty much like a studio with alot of seats facing the stage and spot lights hung from the ceiling), half filled with young ppl. we were kinda early, so we got to get good seats. half of the seats were on flat carpeted ground, n the other half were some sort elivated(like in a lecture theater). i really like the usher system, where all the guys will wear a tie n a suit, n girls will wear something very formal with heels, n all of them had headfons on. chun man... very cekap also. i met timothy chan b4 the service started, met some of his frends but i cud hardly rememer any names rite now. there was this choir group by the side of the stage, with a condensed mic hanging from the ceiling. there were 3 worship leaders n some back up vocalist. 2 pianist, 1 basis, 1 guitarist, 1 drummer. worship was nice, something very different. then ps kevin loo preeched on daily encounters with God. the service ended at 12. chatted with tim n his cg frends for a while, then saw karen(from nilai international coll) there too. later, we left for segambut to have lunch(dun ask me y go so far). the long awaited seafood noodle finally came...good thing i had breakfast. the bowl was pretty big, with 3 huge prawns, alot of lalas n oysters, sotongs, fish, seaweed.... starting to drool? well, heck yea i enjoyed that meal.... of course i had to! it costed me 11bux! the small bowl was 11, the big was 13. n it wasnt in any fancy dinner place with nice air fresheners sprayed every few minuites... we were eating that ambrosial under a tree! thank goodness it was leafy n shaddy, or we'd melt(some were eating the tomyam n curry flavoured)--so imagine the 'pleasure'. went home after that, slept like a pig coz i was really stuffed. woke up to the smell of durians that floated from the living room. mom bought home alot of durians from the durian fare at church. dad n i licked the tuperwear clean... was again--stuffed. after packing for another week in hostel, i went to this hse in midah for an appreciation party for the cheras churches youth concert. and again i was stuffed. the lagsania n drumstick was awesome. had more than enuf that nite while fellowshiping with ppl from other churches. too bad kat n ben din come, i really enjoyed being with them during the concert practices. left at about 9.40 to nilai, had to discuss some stuff with nicole regarding the presentation on thu. if it wasnt for that, i'd b going to edmund's hse for another bbq time with the senior yuffs. well, cant complain....i had a stuffed sunday, and AMEN to that!
